More Americans are cutting back on their meat consumption. That's according to a recent Gallup poll which found that nearly a quarter of the U.S. public report eating less meat in the past year than they had previously. Very few, five percent, report an increase in their meat consumption. When it comes to gender, a higher share of women are cutting back than men at 31 percent. For men, the share reducing their meat intake stands at 19 percent.
